Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo has died at the age of just thirty-four years old. Authorities discovered Longo’s dead body after his wife called police to perform a welfare check on the actor in his Texas home. He was found dead in his bed at his residence in Austin, Texas after his wife called in the welfare check because her husband was not answering any of her calls or messages on his phone.
Longo’s wife, Stephanie, became concerned for her actor husband because she could not confirm his well-being or his whereabouts. She called the Austin police to help her by performing a welfare check at their home, only to discover that the young actor was already dead.
Longo famously played the character of Nicholas Alamain for Days of our Lives in 2011. Although his stint with the soap opera was brief, fans were distraught to learn that the 34-year-old had passed away after a lengthy battle with alcoholism.
Stephanie works at a local dance studio in Austin. She became very concerned for her husband’s well-being when he stopped answering her calls and text messages. She called the police. They arrived at the Austin residence. Despite numerous attempts to get an answer, Longo did not answer the door, so police knocked down the door and searched the house for his whereabouts. They found him dead in his bed.
According to TMZ, a family member said that Longo had battled an addiction to alcohol for years and had recently gone into a rehabilitation program. The official cause of death for the young actor has not yet been released to the public.

Stephanie told TMZ, “He was an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered.”
Cody Longo is survived by his wife and their three children – a daughter, seven, a son, five, and a one-year-old baby boy.
Longo was born in Littleton, Colorado, on March 4, 1988. He began his acting career by appearing in several music videos before he made his way to the big screen in his 2008 debut feature Ball Don’t Lie. He then moved over to the television screen the following year for an episode of Medium which aired in 2009.
Over the course of his career, Longo appeared in a number of supporting roles in feature films, including a popular spot in the movie Fame and Bring It On: Fight to the Finish.
In addition to his eight episodes on Days of our Lives, Longo also worked on the teen drama Make It Or Break It, in which he appeared as the character Nicky Russo.
Also, in 2011, Longo appeared in two episodes of CSI: N.Y. The following year, he held down his longest-running role in the family drama series Hollywood Heights. The show premiered and concluded in 2012.
Longo also had some bad things happen in recent years. He was arrested in 2020 for a domestic assault charge after a fight with his wife. Then in 2021, Longo pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge after he was charged with sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl.
